Software development for Sialkot’s export manufacturers

We build RFQ and order systems, B2B catalogues and export paperwork for Sialkot’s surgical, sports goods and leather manufacturers, from our office in Islamabad. The work is designed around small batches, foreign buyers and the documents their markets ask for.

Part of our work across Pakistan: software house in Pakistan

§ 01

The market

Building software for Sialkot

Sialkot is a city that sells to the world. Its workshops and factories make surgical and dental instruments, footballs both hand-stitched and machine-made, leather gloves and garments, and musical instruments, and much of it is made for buyers in Europe and the United States. The business community is used to solving its own problems: it built Sialkot International Airport and went on to launch an airline, AirSial. Many exporters are family firms, competing on quality, price and turnaround for international orders.

That kind of business has particular software needs. Enquiries arrive as RFQs by email with drawings, logos and quantities, and each one turns into samples, revisions and approvals before an order is placed. Orders are often small and customised with the buyer’s own branding, and production is spread across in-house staff and subcontracted workshops that forge, polish or stitch. Quotes go out in dollars, euros or pounds while costs are paid in rupees. And buyers in regulated markets, medical instruments above all, expect quality records and lot traceability that hold up when their own auditors ask.

We work with Sialkot businesses from our Islamabad office, and we have no office, staff or address in Sialkot. For most exporters that is familiar ground: you already sell to buyers you rarely meet, and a well-run remote project works the same way, with calls, a shared tracker and working software to review at every step. When it helps to see the factory floor or a subcontractor’s workshop, we can plan a visit. The engineer who scopes the work builds it, invoices are in rupees, and the code is yours.

§ 02

What is specific

What building for Sialkot actually requires

  • From RFQ to sample to order

In many export firms the inbox is the order system: RFQs, revised drawings, sample photos and buyer comments scattered across threads and phones. We build a single record for each enquiry that follows it from quotation through samples and approvals into a confirmed order, so nothing depends on one person remembering what the buyer said about the logo. How many quotes turn into orders, and how quickly, becomes visible along the way, which helps when deciding which buyers to chase.

  • Records that satisfy the buyer’s market

A surgical instrument sold into Europe or the United States passes through its buyer’s quality system, and that buyer will ask for material certificates, inspection results and lot traceability. Sports goods and leather buyers ask about social compliance and materials. We design production records so this evidence is captured while the work happens and can be produced for any lot, instead of being assembled from paper when an auditor’s email arrives.

  • Small batches, costed in two currencies

A few hundred branded pieces can pass through several workshops before they ship, and margin leaks away in rework, rejected pieces and a rupee rate that moved after the quote. We track each batch through in-house and subcontracted stages with quantities out and back, and record the exchange rate and cost assumptions behind every quote. You can then see which orders, and which buyers, actually make money.

Working together

How working with us goes from Sialkot

  1. 01

    Start from the inbox

We read through recent buyer correspondence with the people who handled it and follow one order from the first RFQ to the shipment, marking where information was retyped, lost or kept in someone’s head.

  2. 02

    Integrate before replacing

You receive the approach, the risks and a cost range in rupees. Where an existing tool already does its job, accounting for example, we plan to integrate with it and leave it in place.

  3. 03

    Built for two audiences

Buyer-facing parts such as catalogues and RFQ forms are English-first and load quickly for buyers in Europe and North America. Screens for your floor and your workshops are simple, mobile and can carry Urdu labels.

  4. 04

Hosting and code in your name

The code, documentation and hosting accounts are in your name at handover, so the system does not depend on us and anyone you choose can maintain it.

Services

What we build for Sialkot clients

Project delivery, owned end to end. We take on the outcome rather than supplying engineering hours.

Working with Yarqat in Sialkot

Do you have an office in Sialkot?

No. Our only office is the registered office in E-11/2, Islamabad, and we have no staff or address in Sialkot. Projects run remotely in the same timezone, with regular calls and a working system you can review whenever you like. If seeing your floor or a subcontractor’s workshop would change a design decision, we plan a visit. Contracts are Pakistani and invoices are in rupees, whatever currency your own buyers pay you in.

Our buyers are in Europe and the US. Can you build a website they will take seriously?

Yes. For an exporter the website is a catalogue and a credibility check: English-first, quick to load abroad, with clear product data, specifications and an RFQ form that lands in your enquiry system instead of a forgotten inbox. We are also honest about search. Ranking for international product terms takes steady work over months, and we will not promise positions nobody can control.

Can the system produce the documents our buyers ask for?

It can generate the routine ones from data you already hold, such as proforma and commercial invoices, packing lists and lot or batch reports, and store certificates and inspection results against each order. Medical instrument buyers working to quality systems such as ISO 13485 pass requirements down to their suppliers, and we build the records to match what your buyers specify. We do not certify products or advise on regulation.

We use subcontracted workshops for several stages. Can we track that work?

Yes. Each batch can be issued to a workshop and received back with quantities, rejections and dates recorded, so you know what is out, with whom and for how long. Piece-rate payments can be calculated from what was received and accepted. The workshop side can be a simple phone screen, or a supervisor can enter on their behalf, depending on what the workshops will realistically use.

Do we need a full ERP, or something smaller?

Often something smaller, at least to begin with. For a family exporter the biggest gains tend to come from getting enquiries, samples and orders out of the inbox and tracking batches through workshops, while accounting stays in the package you already use. We scope the smallest system that fixes the real problem and design it so it can grow into more of an ERP if the business does.

Have a project in Sialkot?

Tell us what you are building or fixing. We work with Sialkot clients from our Islamabad office, in the same timezone and the same currency, and the engineer who reads this is the one who would run the delivery.

  1. 01A senior engineer reads it. Not a form queue, and not an account manager.
  2. 02We reply either with questions or with a straight answer that we are not the right fit.
  3. 03If it looks like a fit, a technical call with the person who would actually run the delivery.
  4. 04Then scope, effort and risk in writing, before anyone signs anything.

Two fields required. We reply to real enquiries. No list, no sequence.
