Web design in Dubai

We design websites and product interfaces for Dubai businesses, delivered remotely by a senior UK team. Bilingual by design rather than translated at the end, and built to survive contact with a real phone on a real network.

§ 01

Dubai

Web Design for Dubai

Dubai is a visually competitive market. Buyers here are used to polished brands, and a site that looks like a template loses the enquiry before anyone reads the copy. But the thing that separates a Dubai site that works from one that only photographs well is rarely the visual direction. It is whether the design holds up in Arabic, whether it loads quickly on a phone, and whether the enquiry path is obvious to someone scanning it in twenty seconds between meetings.

Bilingual is where most Dubai web design quietly falls apart. Arabic is right to left, so a layout is not translated, it is mirrored: navigation, icons with direction, form fields, progress indicators, charts and the reading order all flip. Arabic text also runs shorter than English in some places and longer in others, and it needs a typeface chosen for the language rather than a Latin font with an Arabic fallback bolted on. If the design is drawn in English and Arabic is added at the end, the Arabic version always looks like the afterthought it was.

We serve Dubai remotely and we do not have a local office. Gulf Standard Time is three to four hours ahead of the UK, which gives a genuine shared working window every day for reviews, and design work reviews well over a call and a live prototype. What that structure buys you is straightforward: the money goes into the design and the front-end build rather than into a storefront on Sheikh Zayed Road that you would never visit.

§ 02

What is specific

Built for Dubai

  • Arabic and English designed together

We design the right-to-left layout alongside the left-to-right one rather than mirroring it at the end. That means directional icons, form flows, navigation and reading order are decided once, and Arabic typography is chosen for Arabic rather than inherited from a Latin typeface. The result is a site where the Arabic version is as considered as the English one, which in this market is what tells a local buyer you took them seriously.

  • Designed for the phone first

Most Dubai traffic arrives on a phone, often from Instagram or WhatsApp rather than a search result, and often on mobile data rather than office wifi. We design to a weight budget, so the hero image that looks striking on a desktop mock does not cost three seconds on a handset. A design that cannot be built fast is not a good design, so we make that trade-off while it is still cheap to change.

  • Built to convert, not just to impress

Dubai buyers move quickly and compare openly. We design the enquiry path as deliberately as the hero: what a visitor is meant to do, how few steps it takes, and whether WhatsApp, a call or a form is the natural next move for that audience. Beautiful work that does not produce enquiries is a cost, and we would rather argue about the call to action early than explain a flat conversion rate later.

§ 03

Scope

What we build

Project delivery, owned end to end, for Dubai clients.

  • Bilingual Arabic and English design systems, with the right-to-left layout designed rather than mirrored after the fact
  • Marketing sites and landing pages for Dubai launches, built to a page-weight budget for mobile data
  • Product and dashboard interfaces where people work daily, designed for clarity over decoration
  • Design systems in Figma with real components and tokens, so the build matches the design and later pages stay consistent
  • Conversion-focused enquiry flows, including WhatsApp-first paths where that is how your audience actually gets in touch
  • Front-end implementation of the design, so nothing is lost between the file and the live site

Web Design in Dubai: common questions

Do you have an office in Dubai?

No. We serve Dubai remotely and we do not have a local office. Yarqat is registered in the United Kingdom, and Gulf Standard Time is three to four hours ahead of the UK, so there is a real shared working window every day. Design reviews run well over a call and a live prototype, and what you pay for goes into the work rather than into a local presence you would never use.

Can you design in Arabic as well as English?

Yes, and we design both directions together rather than translating at the end. Arabic is right to left, so navigation, directional icons, forms and reading order all mirror, and Arabic typography needs a typeface chosen for the language rather than a Latin font with a fallback. Designing the two in parallel is the only way the Arabic version does not end up looking like an afterthought.

Do you write the content or design around ours?

We can do either, but we design better when the message is settled first. If your copy is not ready we will design to a realistic content structure and flag where the words need to do the work, because designing around placeholder text and swapping in real copy later is how layouts break. For bilingual sites we also plan for Arabic and English running to different lengths.

Do you build the site or only design it?

Both, and we would usually recommend both. A design handed to a separate build team is where quality quietly leaks, because the compromises get made by someone who was not in the design conversation. We implement the front end ourselves so the live site matches what you approved, including the Arabic layout, which is the part most often lost in handover.

How long does a Dubai website take?

A focused marketing site is usually a matter of weeks rather than months, and a bilingual site takes longer than a single-language one because there are genuinely two layouts to get right. The honest variable is content and approvals, not design time. We scope with the Arabic version in from the start, so it does not arrive as a surprise phase after launch.

Web design in Dubai?

A technical conversation with the engineers who would do the work. If we are not the right fit, we will say so on the call.
