Custom software development in Peshawar

We build custom software for Peshawar’s wholesale and transit traders, family businesses and Hayatabad manufacturers. We work from Islamabad, about two hours away on the M-1, so a working visit when it matters is a day trip.

§ 01

Peshawar

Custom Software Development for Peshawar

Peshawar’s trade runs on credit and relationships. A wholesaler in Karkhano market or the old city bazaars may carry balances for a long list of retailers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, recorded in a khata ledger, a clerk’s notebook and a string of WhatsApp messages. Credit is extended on trust and repaid in cash, cheques or bank transfers when the season allows. A system that replaces the ledger has to respect that: record every balance accurately, age it, remind politely, and never make a long-standing customer feel like a stranger.

The other side of the city’s economy is paperwork that crosses a border or faces an inspection. Transit and cross-border traders moving goods through Torkham carry documents, charges and currencies for each consignment that are hard to keep straight in a notebook. Units in the Hayatabad Industrial Estate, including pharmaceutical and food-processing plants, need batch records, stock by expiry and production costing they can produce when a buyer or inspector asks. Many of these are family concerns, where brothers or cousins run different branches, and who sees which figures and who approves credit matters as much as any feature.

We serve Peshawar from our office in Islamabad; there is no Peshawar office. Two hours on the M-1 makes a visit a day trip, so we come for the sessions that need a room, such as walking a warehouse or sitting with the family members who share decisions. The rest happens remotely in the same timezone, invoiced in rupees under a Pakistani contract. Business here is done in Urdu and English with Pashto spoken on the shop floor, so we agree early which screens need which language and test them with the people who will use them.

§ 02

What is specific

Built for Peshawar

  • The ledger, digitised with care

We move the khata into a system without flattening the relationships behind it: opening balances agreed with each customer, credit limits the owner sets, post-dated cheques tracked to their dates, and statements a retailer can receive on WhatsApp. The owner sees who owes what at a glance, and the relationship with each customer stays in the owner’s hands.

  • One record per consignment

For transit and cross-border trade, each consignment gets its own file: goods, vehicle, documents, charges at each stage, crossing status, and the currency and rate each payment was made in. When a consignment is held up at the border, everyone works from the same record and nobody has to ring round to find out where things stand.

  • Permissions that match the family

In a family business the organisation chart is the family. We design roles around it: which brother sees which branch, who can extend credit above a limit, which figures go to the elder who reviews everything, and a log of who changed what, so the system settles arguments instead of starting them.

§ 03

Scope

What we build

Project delivery, owned end to end, for Peshawar clients.

  • Wholesale trading systems: customer ledgers, credit limits, ageing, post-dated cheque registers and customer statements shared over WhatsApp
  • Consignment tracking for transit and cross-border traders, with documents, charges, status and multi-currency payments recorded against each consignment
  • Production, batch and expiry management for Hayatabad manufacturing units, including raw material consumption and cost per batch
  • Branch and owner dashboards for family businesses, with role-based permissions, approval limits and a full change log
  • Invoicing that handles KP sales tax on services under the KPRA, and other provinces’ regimes where you sell beyond Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
  • Interfaces in English and Urdu, with Pashto where staff need it, built to run on budget Android phones and patchy connections

Custom Software Development in Peshawar: common questions

Will you come to Peshawar?

Yes, when it is useful. We are based in Islamabad, about two hours away on the M-1, and have no Peshawar office. A visit for scoping, for training your staff or for a decision that needs everyone at the table is a day trip. Between visits the work runs remotely, in the same timezone, with software you can try at each stage.

Our business runs on a paper khata. Where do we start?

With the ledger itself. We set up customers and opening balances, agree them with you line by line, and only then add credit limits, cheque tracking and statements. Old disputes surface during that exercise, and it is better they surface while the notebook is still to hand than after the paper has been put away. Other modules follow once the balances are trusted.

Can the software be in Pashto?

It can. Pashto is written right to left in an Arabic-based script with letters of its own, so fonts, layout and search have to be planned for it from the start. In practice many businesses choose Urdu or English for most screens and Pashto where floor or warehouse staff need it. We decide that with you and test it with the people who will use it every day.

We trade across the border. Can the system handle consignments and more than one currency?

Yes. Each consignment carries its documents, charges and payments, and each payment records the currency and rate it was made in, so profit per consignment is calculated instead of estimated. We record whatever your process requires; what customs and tax rules require of you is a matter for your clearing agent and adviser.

Our plant in Hayatabad loses power during the day. Can a system cope with that?

It should be designed to. Screens on the production floor keep working through a cut and sync when power and connection return, entries are saved as they are made, and nothing is posted twice on retry. Batch records stay complete, which matters when a buyer or an inspector asks to see them.

Custom software development in Peshawar?

Tell us what you are building. We work with Peshawar clients from our Islamabad office, same timezone and same currency, with no account manager in between, so the person who reads this is the one who would run the work.

  1. 01A senior engineer reads it. Not a form queue, and not an account manager.
  2. 02We reply either with questions or with a straight answer that we are not the right fit.
  3. 03If it looks like a fit, a technical call with the person who would actually run the delivery.
  4. 04Then scope, effort and risk in writing, before anyone signs anything.

Two fields required. We reply to real enquiries. No list, no sequence.
