E-commerce development in Islamabad

We build online stores for Islamabad and Rawalpindi businesses from our office in E-11: checkouts that take wallets, Raast and cash, delivery that copes with both sector addresses and older neighbourhoods, and a back office your team can actually run.

Islamabad

E-commerce Development for Islamabad

Islamabad is a smaller consumer market than Lahore or Karachi, and a more particular one. Its buyers include government and corporate professionals, embassy staff, students and families living in planned sectors, which suits specialist and premium stores: bakeries and home kitchens, organic and imported groceries, home furnishing, books and gifts. Many of these businesses start by taking orders on Instagram and WhatsApp and delivering with their own riders, and they reach the limits of that quickly. Orders get lost in chat threads, stock is counted by hand, and there is no record of who buys what or how often.

Delivery is where the twin cities differ in practice. Addresses in Islamabad's sectors follow a pattern of house, street and sub-sector, such as G-9/4, which a checkout can capture in structured fields and a rider can find. Across the city limit the pattern breaks down: older Rawalpindi neighbourhoods and the large housing societies that straddle both cities use their own phase and block schemes. We build address capture around that, with a map pin as a fallback, and route same-day orders to your own riders while parcels for the rest of the country go to a courier.

Payment deserves the same care. Cash on delivery has to work, but a local, repeat customer base is also a good place to encourage paying upfront, by JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or card through a Pakistani gateway, since every prepaid order is one less refusal at the door. Stripe does not onboard Pakistani merchants, so a template built around it needs replacing rather than configuring. Because our office is in E-11, you can sit with the engineer building your store, try the checkout on your own phone and settle decisions in an afternoon.

§ 02

What is specific

Built for Islamabad

  • Own riders and couriers, side by side

A same-day cake order in F-7 and a parcel to Quetta need different processes. We give your own riders a dispatch list for the twin cities, with the cash each rider collects reconciled at the end of the day, and book everything else with a national courier such as TCS, Leopards or M&P from the same order screen, so the two never get mixed up.

  • Addresses a rider can find

Structured fields for sector, sub-sector, street and house number, a separate path for housing-society phases and blocks, a landmark field for older areas and an optional map pin. The customer's phone number is confirmed at checkout. It sounds minor, but a rider calling three times to find a house is a cost on every order and the first step towards a refusal.

  • Prepaid encouraged, cash still welcome

Wallets, Raast and cards through a local gateway sit alongside cash on delivery. You can offer a small incentive for paying upfront, and take an advance on made-to-order items such as custom cakes or catering, where a refusal would leave you with something nobody else will buy. Your own order data then shows whether the payment mix is shifting.

E-commerce Development in Islamabad: common questions

Can we meet to plan the store in person?

Yes. Our office is at Zafar Heights, Main Double Road, E-11/2, so for Islamabad and Rawalpindi businesses a planning session is a short drive. We usually go through your current order flow, the products that cause the most questions and the checkout on a real phone. After that, most of the build runs over calls and shared previews, with the same engineer throughout.

We sell on Instagram and WhatsApp today. Do we actually need a website?

Not always, and not straight away. If orders are few and customers are regulars, a simple catalogue with a WhatsApp order button may be enough. A proper store earns its cost when orders start getting lost, stock runs out without warning, or you want repeat customers to reorder without messaging you. We will tell you honestly which stage you are at.

We deliver ourselves in the twin cities but use couriers elsewhere. Can the store handle both?

Yes. Orders are routed by address: local ones go to your own riders with a delivery slot and a cash-collection record, and the rest are booked with your chosen courier, with tracking sent to the customer. Each rider's collected cash and each courier's remittance are reconciled separately, so you can see what is still owed to you.

Which online payments can our customers use?

JazzCash and Easypaisa wallets, Raast, bank transfer, and debit or credit cards through a Pakistani gateway such as PayFast or Safepay, alongside cash on delivery. Each method settles to you on its own schedule, so the back office shows what has been paid, what is pending and what is still with a rider. We also make sure refunds and part-refunds work for every method, since one that cannot be refunded cleanly causes trouble later.

How do we reduce refused cash-on-delivery orders?

At Islamabad volumes, simple measures go a long way: a WhatsApp or phone confirmation before dispatch, an advance on custom or perishable orders, a note on customers who have refused before, and a small reason to prepay. The store records every refusal against the phone number and address, so you can see where they come from.

E-commerce development in Islamabad?

Tell us what you are building. A senior engineer reads every enquiry, and being registered in Islamabad means meeting in person is a short drive rather than a flight when a decision needs one.

  1. 01A senior engineer reads it. Not a form queue, and not an account manager.
  2. 02We reply either with questions or with a straight answer that we are not the right fit.
  3. 03If it looks like a fit, a technical call with the person who would actually run the delivery.
  4. 04Then scope, effort and risk in writing, before anyone signs anything.

Two fields required. We reply to real enquiries. No list, no sequence.
