Custom software development in Karachi
We build custom software for Karachi’s importers, freight forwarders, FMCG and pharmaceutical distributors and SBP-regulated financial firms, delivered from our Islamabad office. Every system is designed for high volume, a document trail per shipment or transaction, and the power cutting out.

Custom Software Development for Karachi
Much of Karachi’s economy is organised around the shipment. An importer, forwarder or clearing agent deals with a bill of lading, a commercial invoice and packing list, a goods declaration, a delivery order and a string of port, shipping-line and agency charges for every container. In many firms that file is scattered across email attachments, a shared drive and the memory of whoever handled it. When a consignment is held or a customer disputes an invoice, finding the right paper can take a day. Custom software earns its keep by making the shipment the unit of record: its documents, milestones, costs and margin in one place.
The city’s other large buyers have different problems at a similar scale. FMCG and pharmaceutical distribution runs through distributors, order bookers and delivery vans, with credit limits, trade schemes and batch expiry to track across many small retail outlets. Banks, microfinance providers and electronic money institutions headquartered here work under the State Bank’s rules on outsourcing and technology risk, so a system that touches them has to be built with their compliance function from the first week. In both cases what matters is volume, a clean audit trail and records that reconcile.
We serve Karachi from Islamabad. We have no Karachi office and do not claim one; what you get is the same timezone, rupee invoicing, a Pakistani contract and direct access to the senior engineer running your build. Most of the work is remote. Karachi is a flight away, so we plan the visits that matter, typically discovery on your warehouse or operations floor and acceptance at the end. K-Electric outages and summer heat are part of the operating environment, so we design for sessions that drop, queues that resume and no transaction posted twice.
§ 02
What is specific
Built for Karachi
The shipment file as the record
A job file for each consignment holds every document, milestone, charge and receipt, with the margin calculated as costs arrive instead of at month end. Staff stop searching inboxes, customers get accurate status, and when a container is held the paperwork is already in one place.
Distribution that ties primary to secondary sales
Principals want to know what reached the shelf as well as what left the warehouse. We build order-booking and distributor systems that record secondary sales, credit limits and scheme eligibility on Android phones out in the market, working offline and syncing when signal returns, with batch and expiry tracked for pharmaceuticals.
Built alongside your compliance team
For SBP-regulated firms we work inside the framework your risk and compliance teams set: documented architecture, access controls, audit logs, data location decided at the start, and the material an outsourcing review or an inspection will ask for. We do not interpret the regulations for you. We make the evidence easy to produce.

What else we build in Karachi
Custom Software Development in Karachi: common questions
You are based in Islamabad. How does a Karachi project work in practice?
Mostly remotely, in the same timezone, with working software to review at every stage. We fly down for the sessions where being in the room changes the outcome, usually discovery on your operations floor and sign-off at the end. Invoices are in rupees and the contract is Pakistani. We have no Karachi office and no local team, and we will not suggest otherwise.
We are regulated by the State Bank. Can you work within our outsourcing requirements?
Yes, within the framework your compliance and risk teams set. We supply the documentation, access model, audit logging and data-location decisions they need to assess us and the system, and we build to their conditions from the start. What the regulations require of your institution is for you and your advisers to determine; our part is making the system and its evidence meet it.
Can the system connect to the customs and shipping-line portals we use?
Where a portal offers a proper interface, we integrate with it. Where it does not, we do the next best thing: store every document, reference and status against the shipment file, so information is keyed once and reused on invoices and customer updates. We will tell you plainly which is which during scoping, before anyone promises an integration that cannot exist.
Our order bookers work in markets with weak signal. Will the app cope?
It has to. We build order-booking apps that work fully offline on budget Android phones, queue each order with a timestamp and location, and sync when a connection returns, with clear rules for what happens if stock or credit changed in the meantime. Data use is kept small, because mobile data costs someone money every day.
How do you make sure it holds up at month end?
By testing with realistic volume before launch, not after the first busy close. We load-test the reconciliation, posting and reporting paths against the peaks you actually see, such as month end or the weeks before Eid, and design posting so a retried job never records a payment twice. You see the results before go-live.
Custom software development in Karachi?
Tell us what you are building. We work with Karachi clients from our Islamabad office, same timezone and same currency, with no account manager in between, so the person who reads this is the one who would run the work.
- 01A senior engineer reads it. Not a form queue, and not an account manager.
- 02We reply either with questions or with a straight answer that we are not the right fit.
- 03If it looks like a fit, a technical call with the person who would actually run the delivery.
- 04Then scope, effort and risk in writing, before anyone signs anything.
