E-commerce development in Karachi

We build e-commerce platforms for Karachi operators who ship to every province: multi-courier booking and cash reconciliation, warehouse workflows, and stock that stays in step with Daraz when 11.11 arrives. We work from Islamabad, on Pakistani contracts and rupee invoices.

§ 01

Karachi

E-commerce Development for Karachi

Karachi is Pakistan's largest city and its main port, and a lot of the country's online retail is picked and packed here. Goods arrive through the port, sit in warehouses across the city and leave in courier bags for every province. At that volume the storefront is the easy part. The hard part is the operation behind it: allocating orders between TCS, Leopards, M&P, PostEx, Trax and others by destination and rate, tracking a large volume of parcels at once, and reconciling the cash each courier collects against the orders it actually delivered, days or weeks later and net of its charges.

Return to origin is the cost that decides margins. A cash-on-delivery order refused at the door has already paid for packing and the outbound leg, often pays for the return as well, and keeps the stock out of circulation until it is back on the shelf. At Karachi volumes, reducing that rate justifies real engineering: automated WhatsApp confirmation before dispatch, rules that flag risky orders using phone number, address quality and order history, and an incentive to prepay by JazzCash, Easypaisa or Raast for customers who have refused before.

Most high-volume sellers also run a Daraz store, and during 11.11, Ramadan and the weeks before Eid, stock that is not synchronised between the marketplace and your own site turns into cancelled orders and a damaged seller rating. FMCG companies here have a related problem on the trade side, where distributors and retailers still place many orders by phone, WhatsApp or on paper. The work is run from our office in Islamabad. When the picking process needs to be seen first-hand, a visit to your warehouse can be arranged.

What is specific

Built for Karachi

  • Multi-courier allocation and reconciliation

Each courier has its own rates, coverage, booking method and remittance cycle. We build allocation rules that pick the courier per order by destination, weight and cost, book and print labels in bulk, pull tracking updates into one view, and match every remittance line to a delivered, returned or disputed order. Finance stops reconciling spreadsheets by hand, and missing cash shows up as a named exception.

  • Return to origin, measured and reduced

We treat the refusal rate as a number to manage. Orders are confirmed automatically by WhatsApp before dispatch, scored against the history of that phone number and address, and held or asked for an advance when the risk is high. The platform reports refusals by city, courier, product and campaign, so you can see which change actually reduced them.

  • Warehouse workflows that keep pace

Bin locations, pick lists batched by courier and cut-off time, and a scan at packing that confirms the right item went into the right bag. For imported stock we record landed cost, including freight, duties and clearing charges, against each batch, so the margin shown on a product reflects what it really cost to bring through the port.

E-commerce Development in Karachi: common questions

Which couriers can you integrate with?

TCS, Leopards, M&P, PostEx, Trax, BlueEX, Call Courier and others. What each one exposes differs, from full booking and tracking APIs to little more than a portal and a spreadsheet, so we confirm the capabilities of the couriers you use before we promise automation. Where an API is thin, we automate the file exchange rather than leaving it to manual entry.

How do you reduce return-to-origin rates?

With confirmation, scoring and measurement. Every cash-on-delivery order gets an automated WhatsApp confirmation before it ships. Orders are scored against the phone number's and address's history, and risky ones are held or asked for an advance. Then refusals are reported by city, courier, product and campaign, so each rule can be kept or dropped on evidence.

Can our own store and our Daraz shop share stock?

Yes, with one system holding the stock count and both channels reading from it. During sale events we recommend a small buffer per channel, because updates between systems are never quite instant and overselling on a marketplace costs you on your seller rating. Orders from both channels then flow into the same picking and courier process.

Will the platform cope with 11.11 volumes?

We make sure of it before the day rather than during it. That means load-testing the store and the order pipeline at sale-level traffic, queueing background work such as courier booking so checkout stays fast, and batching pick lists so the warehouse is not the bottleneck. Afterwards we check where the system came closest to its limit and fix that first.

Do you have an office in Karachi?

No. We are based in Islamabad, which is our only office, and Karachi sellers work with us remotely on the same working hours, under a Pakistani contract and paying in rupees. Store and integration work suits that well. When a warehouse walk-through or a planning day with your operations team would change the design, a trip to Karachi can be arranged.

E-commerce development in Karachi?

Tell us what you are building. We work with Karachi clients from our Islamabad office, same timezone and same currency, with no account manager in between, so the person who reads this is the one who would run the work.

  1. 01A senior engineer reads it. Not a form queue, and not an account manager.
  2. 02We reply either with questions or with a straight answer that we are not the right fit.
  3. 03If it looks like a fit, a technical call with the person who would actually run the delivery.
  4. 04Then scope, effort and risk in writing, before anyone signs anything.
