Mobile app development in Karachi

We build mobile apps for Karachi's banks, EMIs, insurers and delivery companies, working from Islamabad. Apps that are ready for a regulated security review, that capture documents properly on budget cameras, and that reach a large customer base one careful release at a time.

Mobile App Development for Karachi

Karachi is where much of Pakistan's money is run from. The State Bank and most bank and insurance head offices are here, alongside fintechs, electronic money institutions, microfinance banks and several of the large courier companies. The apps they need are transactional: a wallet or banking app, digital account opening, an insurance or takaful app for renewals and claims, a driver app that proves each delivery. Each one moves money, identity or goods, and a bug shows up in someone's balance or in a parcel nobody can account for.

Regulated clients bring a second audience: information security and compliance. A bank, microfinance bank or EMI works under the State Bank's rules on technology risk and outsourcing, and an insurer answers to the SECP, so the app will be reviewed for device binding, root detection, secure storage, session handling and who at the vendor can reach production. We build expecting that review and a penetration test. We are also a small company, so if your vendor policy requires certifications we do not hold, we will say so in the first conversation, before anyone spends time on scoping.

The customer's phone is the other constraint. Account opening and claims both depend on photos of a CNIC, a form or a damaged car, taken on a budget camera in poor light and uploaded over mobile data because the home Wi-Fi went down with the power. The app has to guide that moment, not just receive the result. Karachi projects are run from our Islamabad office, and we have no office in Karachi. The timezone is shared, invoices are in rupees, and a flight brings us to you when a security workshop or a launch decision needs everyone present.

§ 02

What is specific

Built for Karachi

  • Ready for the security review

Regulated apps are judged by people whose job is to find problems. We design for their checklist from the first sprint: device binding, root and jailbreak detection, certificate pinning, nothing sensitive cached on the phone, step-up authentication before payments, and logs that record security events without recording secrets. Your reviewers get a written account of each control.

  • Documents captured right first time

A blurred CNIC photo means a rejected application and a customer who may not try again. The app guides the camera, checks for blur, glare and cropped edges before accepting the image, compresses it sensibly, and uploads in chunks that resume after a dropped connection. Claim photos get the same care and carry the time and place they were taken.

  • Releases that cannot take everyone down

With a large customer base, a bad update is a public incident. We release in stages on Google Play and the App Store, watch crash and error rates before widening, keep risky features behind remote switches, and can require an update when a security fix must reach every phone. The release process is written down so your change board can approve it.

Mobile App Development in Karachi: common questions

Can you build a banking or wallet app that passes our security review?

That is the standard we build to. Device binding, tamper and root detection, certificate pinning, encrypted storage, careful session handling and clean logging are part of the first design, not a patch after the penetration test. We document every control for your reviewers and fix findings inside the project, because a report full of open issues helps nobody.

Can you work on our existing app instead of starting again?

Often that is the better choice. We begin by reviewing the codebase, the build and release process and any open security findings, then agree what to fix first. A rewrite is expensive and rarely justified for an app that works. The usual case for one is a codebase nobody can build any more, or a framework that can no longer meet your security requirements.

How do you stop a bad update reaching every customer?

By never releasing to everyone at once. Updates go out in stages through Google Play and the App Store, starting with a small share of users, and we watch crash rates and error logs before widening. New features can sit behind switches that are turned off without a new release. For urgent security fixes, the app can require customers to update before they continue.

How does a courier app handle cash on delivery?

Every collection is tied to its consignment, so each driver's cash position is known at any moment. Refusals and failed attempts carry a reason recorded at the door, with a photo where needed. At the end of the shift the app produces a cash summary that should match the deposit, and any difference shows up that day, not at month end.

Will we ever meet in person?

When it is worth it, yes. We have no Karachi office and work from Islamabad, so day to day the project runs on calls, shared test builds and written updates, in the same timezone and invoiced in rupees. For a security workshop, a launch decision or the first session with your operations team, we fly to Karachi.

Mobile app development in Karachi?

Tell us what you are building. We work with Karachi clients from our Islamabad office, same timezone and same currency, with no account manager in between, so the person who reads this is the one who would run the work.

  1. 01A senior engineer reads it. Not a form queue, and not an account manager.
  2. 02We reply either with questions or with a straight answer that we are not the right fit.
  3. 03If it looks like a fit, a technical call with the person who would actually run the delivery.
  4. 04Then scope, effort and risk in writing, before anyone signs anything.

Two fields required. We reply to real enquiries. No list, no sequence.
