Custom software development in Lahore
We build custom software for Lahore’s retail and fashion chains, textile and garment exporters and multi-campus school groups, working from our office in Islamabad. It is written, documented and handed over so that someone other than us can maintain it.

Custom Software Development for Lahore
Lahore is not short of software houses. Between Arfa Software Technology Park, graduates from LUMS, UET and FAST, and a long tail of smaller firms, a buyer can get a quote for almost anything at almost any price. The worry buyers here tend to carry is what happens after the cheapest quote wins: a system delivered without documentation, source code that lives on one developer’s laptop, a database nobody else understands, and a vendor who has moved on to the next job. If you are commissioning a system for the second time, that caution is reasonable.
The places where a custom build earns its cost in Lahore are specific. A fashion brand with branches from Liberty to DHA and an online store needs one view of stock, returns and exchanges across all of them, and if it is a Tier-1 retailer its point of sale has to report to the FBR. A garment exporter needs to follow an order from the buyer’s tech pack through sampling, cutting, stitching and packing to shipment, costed in the buyer’s currency and in rupees. A school group needs fees in instalments, sibling discounts and campus-level reports. Packaged software usually covers part of each and leaves the rest to spreadsheets.
We serve Lahore from Islamabad. There is no Lahore office and we will not pretend otherwise, but the practical gaps are small: the same timezone, invoices in rupees and a Pakistani contract. Day-to-day work runs on calls, a shared board and working software you can try at every step. When a decision needs a room, such as walking the warehouse or standing on the stitching floor to see how a bundle actually moves, Lahore is a motorway drive or a short flight away. The person who scopes your system is the person who builds it and hands it over.
§ 02
What is specific
Built for Lahore
Built for the next developer
The cure for the cheap build nobody can maintain is dull and specific: source in your own repository from the first day, mainstream technology your next hire will already know, automated tests, and documentation written as the work happens. If we disappeared tomorrow, another competent team should be able to pick the system up, and we build to that test.
Stock that agrees across branches
Multi-branch retail breaks down when the shop, the warehouse and the website each hold a different number. We design one stock ledger with transfers, returns, exchanges and season-end markdowns, fed by the point of sale. Where you are a Tier-1 retailer, the FBR integration is part of the design from the start instead of a patch applied under deadline.
Export orders followed end to end
For garment and textile exporters the order is the spine of the business: tech pack, sample approvals, fabric, cutting, stitching, finishing, inspection and shipment. We build the order record that follows it, with costing in dollars or euros against rupee spend, and the documents a buyer’s compliance audit asks for kept against the order they belong to.

Scope
What we build
Project delivery, owned end to end, for Lahore clients.
- Retail back-office systems: multi-branch stock, inter-branch transfers, returns and exchanges, integrated with your point of sale and with FBR reporting where you are a Tier-1 retailer
- Order and production tracking for garment and textile exporters, from tech pack and sampling to shipment, with costing in the buyer’s currency and in rupees
- School management for multi-campus groups: admissions, fee instalments, discounts, campus reports and parent notifications by SMS or WhatsApp
- Invoicing and accounting integration that applies Punjab sales tax on services under the PRA, and other provincial regimes where you operate outside Punjab
- Takeover of an undocumented or half-finished system from another vendor: audit, stabilise, document, then a clear recommendation to repair or rebuild
- A complete handover: source in your repository, documentation, deployment scripts and admin access in your own name

What else we build in Lahore
Custom Software Development in Lahore: common questions
A cheap build let us down before. What is different this time?
Mostly the things a low quote leaves out. Your code sits in your repository from day one, not ours. We use mainstream technology, write tests, and document as we go instead of promising documentation at the end. The engineer who scopes the work runs it, so nothing is lost between a salesperson and a junior team. The price reflects that, and we will explain what it buys.
Do you have an office in Lahore?
No. Yarqat’s only office is in Islamabad, and we serve Lahore from there. Most of the work runs remotely in the same timezone, invoiced in rupees under a Pakistani contract. When something genuinely needs a face-to-face session, like mapping a warehouse or a production line, we travel: Lahore is a motorway drive or a short flight away.
Can you take over a system another software house left unfinished?
Often, yes. We start with an audit: can the code be built and deployed, what state is the data in, and what does the system actually do compared with what you were told. You then get a written recommendation to stabilise and continue, or to rebuild the parts that cannot be saved. We would rather tell you it is not worth rescuing than bill months into a dead end.
Our point of sale has to report to the FBR. Can your system handle that?
Yes. Where a retailer falls under the FBR’s point-of-sale integration requirement, we build or connect the POS so each sale is reported in the way the FBR specifies and the receipt carries what it should. Whether the requirement applies to you, and from when, is for your tax adviser to confirm; making the software comply consistently is our job.
Our branch and floor staff are more comfortable in Urdu. Can the system be bilingual?
Yes. Urdu is written in Nastaliq, which needs a proper font such as Noto Nastaliq Urdu and more line height than English, and many systems quietly fall back to a Naskh style that readers find less natural. We plan the Urdu screens from the start, keep English where head office prefers it, and test with the people who will use them.
Custom software development in Lahore?
Tell us what you are building. We work with Lahore clients from our Islamabad office, same timezone and same currency, with no account manager in between, so the person who reads this is the one who would run the work.
- 01A senior engineer reads it. Not a form queue, and not an account manager.
- 02We reply either with questions or with a straight answer that we are not the right fit.
- 03If it looks like a fit, a technical call with the person who would actually run the delivery.
- 04Then scope, effort and risk in writing, before anyone signs anything.
